A Happy Visit to ANFIELD.

Good evening, morning to gooners from different parts of the world ;)
Not everyday we gunners get to blog with a big grin on your face, but now i guess we must get used to this after seeing such a solid performance against Liverpool. Looks like we have a balanced team with us with a huge potential, we just need to be consistent(which im sure this team will be) provided our players stay fit. So Gunners had a good day at office in all departments as we went on to beat Liverpool 2-0, thanks to the goals from new boys Podolski and Cazorla. The goals were scored at the right time I would say , we din’t have to panic, goals were scored at 31st (poldi) and 68th (cazorla) minutes. Our defense looked good with another clean sheet, though we had two good games at the back both sunderland and stoke city din’t test us much from the open play but did only in the set pieces which we dealt well(Bould effect). Liverpool is a team which plays an open game and with Bredan Rodgers being their new manager, you expect them to be more open and try to play attacking game and so did they. I must say we dealt with it well, though we had problems at times, we looked solid, we managed it. Even luck was on our side today mainly because of the penalty shout against Per Mertesacker, it was a clean tackle and din’t deserve a penalty but given the position from which Webb(HOWARD WEBB,sounds very lucky now don't it ;)? ) saw it, usually it will be against us, but at the end it was a pretty good decision. Per did make some mistakes, he needs to improve his pace and Carl Jenkinson surprisingly had a good game with a start he had, he looked sloppy at the beginning with those easy give aways. But this proves his attitude, im telling you he is some guy, at such a young age, having a bad start, staying calm and bouncing back and helping your team to get a clean sheet is no easy task. Looks like he is a good back-up for Sagna with Nico yennaris coming up the ranks we are doing just good at the Right back. And a stat to be noted is this is our 3rd consecutive clean sheet, and it comes in the first three games of the season. Which has happened with Arsenal for the first time in 88years. Something that this defense can be proud of and our previous defense should feel bad about ;) . Full credit to our Lord Bouldemort (Steve Bould) what an impact has he had on our defense, with no disrespect to our legend Pat Rice, I was worried as who will fill his space, but bouldi has done something very positive to us and Professor wenger how do you see all these things ? You are pretty amazing :D.  And Even after Joe allen’s consistent performance throughout the match, not losing the ball easily and sterling’s(Man what a talent he is) good show it looked like we bossed the midfield, thanks to Abou Diaby,Arteta and Cazorla. Abou Diaby is the one player who I will put my money on to have a great season given he doesn’t have any more injuries. Im pretty sure we’ll be asking Song who ? very soon. Diaby does good defending and some good turns and runs, his turns exposes the opponents defense and creating lot of spaces for him to run through to opponent’s half, creating chances from nowhere, which song doesn’t do. For me he is the Man of the MATCH for today. as he told before" I'm fixed up and looking sharp" He is isn't he ?

Abou Diaby with a convincing performance against the reds.

I think We’l be seeing Arteta in more deep role this season, so he won’t have the liberty he had last season and will have to stand back and defend, which song was supposed to do last season and failed to but im sure Arteta will do it in classy and professional way. And I know what you readers are waiting for , yes even im exited to write about LUKAS PODOLSI. I wish we I was there at anfield to chant “Lu lu Lukas podolski lu lu Lukas podolski” What a game he had, He defended well to help gibbs and keep Glen quite and Finished quite well with the attack starting from him, and went home with a assist in his bag. What more do you expect from a new signing ? and for Cazorla it was just a matter of time to get onto the score sheet, and get a assist on his name. He is been one player who is been performing all the 3 games, he was pretty close in bagging a assist in both the games. And a big thanks to Vito Mannone for stepping up when it was needed, and thanks to Flappyanski for sitting out injured when we needed him.

And It will be incomplete if I don’t credit our captain Verminator and Gibbs, a rock solid performance from both, Thomas seems like he is enjoying his responsibility , he is giving it all. Have we found our Tony adams in him ? time will tell. And the boy how well did he boss the defense towards the end, shouting ,screaming, havn't we missed this from a long time. And the team overall seem to be happy and organised.

And for everybody’s surprise THE OX din’t have a good game, I would prefer him in the Midfield than in the wings, and why was Theo in the bench ? hope nothing is wrong, Theo is the man for us in the wing, OX is not ready yet I’m afraid. And I see lot of people worrying about Giroud, Don’t worry gunners he won’t be the next torres. Reasons ? 1. He is a wenger signing, with just chamakh as his back up , it does look like wenger has lot of faith in him, so when wenger has a faith in a player we have no reason to worry about him , Remember the Judas (RVP) when everybody doubted him , wenger kept faith on him(what he did to that faith is entirely different story) . 2. Its just his 3rd game 3. As a striker you need time to settle more than any position because you don’t get to do lot exchanges or passing in there, atleast for Giroud it hasn’t happened. 4. Remember our legends Henry,Pires, The ONLY dutch legend arsenal had..Dennis Bergkamp ;) struggled to score at their initial games so calm down gunners don’t panic yet. So it is good result for us, not everyday you go to Anfield and get a convincing win, we must be satisfied with that, and it’s a great place for our new players to score.Though we do need some work to do in our attacking side. And I read Theo smiled when arsenal fans sang “Robin is a cunt”. LOL.
and one more chat by the away fans was "You're getting sacked in the morning" to Rodgers before final whistle. LOL but that's too harsh my fellow gunners ;)
