Storm hits Saints - An unhealthy trend

Footballing world was left in a state of shock after the news came from the Southampton camp that their manager Mr.Nigel Adkins has been sacked and announced the Argentinian, Mauricio Pochettino as his replacement. This raised many eyebrows and saints fans are furious over the decision. For a man who has done well for them, the decision is pretty harsh.
Adkins has been treated harshly says former manager Lawrie McMenemy

Southampton are currently 15th in the league, they have performed well in the last 10 games after a slow start to the Premier League taking just 5 points from their opening 11 games. And they have gone on a good run of only two defeats in the last 12 league matches. Considering the last 10 games Nigel Adkin's team are placed in 10th position, which means they are climbing up with 3 wins, 5 draws and two losses. Another fact is that Adkins is placed in Top -3 in their all-time top managers with 61.22 % (2010-13). Adkins was appointed as Southampton manager in September 2010, when they were 22nd in League One.
"MESSAGE TO THE BOYS FROM ADKINS BEFORE LEAVING"
He then steered  Southampton into the championship, by finishing second in the league. In his second season as the manager for Southampton he managed to keep them in the top two in championship. Southampton finished second in the league to Reading losing the title by One point  and fourth round exits in both Carling cup and FA cup.  The journey from League One to the Premier league is considered inspirational. With Clubs like QPR,Reading and Aston villa in the relegation zone, Soton have managed to climb up to 15th with 3 points difference from 18th positioned Reading. But their Recent run of games were impressive, Coming back from a two nil deficit to Chelsea and managing a draw in their previous game. Adkins has impressed many with his teams passing game, deploying 4-4-2 model.

This news has come as a shock to Southampton fans who din’t see this coming. Former Southampton
manager Lawrie McMenemy has also conveyed his dissatisfaction towards the move and has said Adkins has been treated harshly by the board. It is has even surprised Chelsea Boss Rafael Benitez, Chelsea Boss being surprised because of sacking of another teams manager, doesn’t happen very often. Sportsmail reports that number of first team players were furious with the board’s decision. Adkins knew he was going to be sacked even before he meant Nicola Cortese. Cortese says the decision has been taken for the good of saints future, i don't see what better future the new man can bring, maybe they are aiming to get into top 4(PUN INTENDED). I personally want them to be relegated for this, the same reason why i din't want Chelsea to win it last year and this year as well. You can't do something crazy, disgraceful and win things. This will send out a wrong message to the football world. Sacking a manager is not always the solution for your problems. Saints fans warn of protest at Adkins’ sacking when they play Everton at home on Monday. Arrogance and stupidity at its best. This can be seen as Roman-esque decision, maybe Roman had a chat with  Nicola Cortese.
